ABSOLUTE INTEGRITY
Absolute Integrity is an exhibition which combined the art of performance, print and poetry to create an atmosphere wherein which traces of ephemerality became a fixed presence in the gallery setting.
Using the floor of the gallery as a pallet to create a performative index upon its retentive surfaces is an active ritual which creates and documents a living glossary for the ephemeral movement of the body. The artist’s body movement actively imprinted upon the gallery surface captures and records instances of non-representational states of visceral presence, active being and real emotionality. Using the physical body to print these gestures allows the artist to subjectively place bodily markings with autonomy and agency within a space which traditionally represents the female body to the viewing audience as an object- subject to viewing points of control and manipulation.
